Czech Aircraft Works Family of Light Sport Aircraft
Czech Aircraft Works (CZAW) designed and manufactures its own line of
aircraft starting with the amphibious Mermaid, the SportCruiser and a
the streamlined Parrot, and a line of straight and amphibious floats
fitting many brands of aircraft.
In just 8 years Czech Aircraft Works has grown to be one of the world's
premier light sport aircraft producers. CZAW now has over 130 employees
and ships over 150 aircraft per year. Since January 2007, the CZAW
factory has moved to a big facilty at the former LET facilities - same
building as used to manufacture the famous Blanik glider, LET L-420 and
later L-610 in earlier days.
CZAW builds primarily American-designed aircraft, built with American
materials and standards. CZAW imports tons of aircraft grade aluminum
sheet, chrome-moly tubing, and military-spec hardware from the USA for
use in our production.
Czech Aircraft Works is experienced as well with JAR/FAR-23 certified
aircraft manufacture and distribution.
All CZAW aircrafts and
kits - designed in the US are manufactured by highly skilled technicians, tested and
supported by professional aircraft engineers and test pilots in Kunovice, Czech Republic.
