Additional a non stabilized compass and backup altimeter is required
in accordance to JAR/FAR/CS23.1311 (see
EAS Technical Instruction #3 - Electronic Flight Instruments for VFR Day
Conditions) - "...Altitude backup can be waved, if the primary
instrument has a failure rate <10-3 failures / h and the
software is according DO-178B Level D..." - but there is no proof
available from Dynon Avionics that the EFIS-EMS combination is compliant
to these requirements at that time.

avionics. The most common avionics stack and recommended by
SportAviation consists of a transceiver, transponder, intercom and GPS.

- Mode S transponder is mandatory for new aircraft registered in
Switzerland
- 121.5 MHz / 243 MHz ELT can not be certified for new aircraft
registered in Switzerland, thus we are offering a 406 MHz COSPAS/SARSAT ELT
- We suggest installing a 8.33 kHz capable VHF-COM in a new
aircraft
